Drop an audio file here, or click to choose

MP3 · WAV · M4A · OGG · WebM · FLAC — up to 30 minutes

Trimming runs entirely in your browser — your audio is never uploaded.

Cut the part you want out of any song or recording and save it as MP3 or WAV — right in your browser, nothing uploaded.

How to use

  1. 1

    Upload

An MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG or FLAC file up to 30 minutes long.

  2. 2

    Pick the part

Drag the start and end sliders — the waveform shows exactly what stays.

  3. 3

    Export

Preview the selection, then download it as MP3 or WAV.

The selection is cut from decoded audio, not re-compressed first — trimming a WAV and exporting as WAV loses nothing at all.

How do I cut a song for a ringtone?

Load the song, drag the selection to the chorus or the intro you want (keep it under 30–40 seconds for most phones), then export as MP3. Rename the file to .m4r on iPhone or set it directly as a ringtone on Android.

Does trimming an MP3 reduce its quality?

Exporting as WAV copies the decoded audio untouched, so the clip sounds exactly like the original. Exporting as MP3 re-encodes at 192 kbps — one extra generation, in practice indistinguishable from the source for most listening.

Can I trim audio from a video file?

Some browsers decode the audio track of MP4/WebM files directly — worth a try. If it fails, use the Extract Audio tool first to pull the track into MP3, then trim here.
