1–3px: barely visible softening. 4–8px: background defocus. 9–15px: strong blur. 16–30px: masking faces, plates or screens — anything below 20px may still be recoverable.
At normal viewing size, 8–15 px is enough to make a face unrecognisable on a 1000 px wide photo. Small crops need a lower radius, otherwise the whole frame turns into a smear.
This tool blurs the whole frame. To keep the subject sharp, crop to the area you want to hide first, blur it, then place it back — or cut the subject out with the background remover and blur only the backdrop.
